At We Do Charity, our first project was very close to our hearts. We wanted to bring happiness to the lives of children who are often forgotten—students of a small, family-run Madrasa in Sirajganj. Many of these students come from extremely poor families, and some are orphans. We knew that during Roja (Ramadan) and Eid, even small gestures of kindness could make a huge difference.
Our Goal
We aimed to provide Eid packages with essential items to bring joy to the students and teachers. Each package was designed to cover the basic needs and spread happiness during the festive season.
Fundraising
We reached out to friends, relatives, and the public to raise funds. Our initial target was 26,000 BDT (around $220)—1,000 BDT per student. Thanks to generous support, we surpassed our goal and collected 46,920 BDT (about $400). This allowed us to also include teachers in the project and provide special gifts for orphan students.
