Thanks to the generosity of donors, 23,400 BDT (~$192.28) has been successfully collected for Reshna Begum. This project is now fully funded, and no further donations are needed.
The Situation
Reshna Begum is a 35-year-old woman from Hasanpur village, Chandnighat Union, Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila. She lives in extremely difficult circumstances. Reshna lost four children at birth, and her husband, though alive, is blind and unable to work. They have no regular income and rely on relatives for daily needs.
She lives in a small three-room house:
- She and her husband share one room.
- Her father-in-law occupies the middle room.
- Her brother-in-law and his family live in the third room and help support them as best they can.
The most urgent problem was their back porch, which had a completely damaged tin roof, held together by ropes and nails. The structure was so fragile that even a small weight could collapse it. During the rainy season, the porch floods, making it impossible to cook or use the two open toilets safely.
