Madrasa LED Lights + Eid Ul Adha Children

The Need: Overcoming Load-Shedding and Celebrating Eid

At our family-operated Madrasa in Sirajganj, frequent electrical load-shedding during the hot summer evenings left students in complete darkness. The children, who study and memorize the Holy Quran late into the night, were unable to continue their education. In addition, as the festival of Eid-ul-Adha approached, several orphaned students and students in need could not afford new clothes to celebrate the festival with their peers.

We Do Charity launched a two-phased project on June 2, 2025, to provide rechargeable LED lights for the study hall and Eid clothing for two orphaned children and children in need.

Execution and Cost Transparency

We purchased 4 high-quality rechargeable LED bulbs for 2,400 BDT (600 BDT per unit). These bulbs automatically charge when electricity is on and provide 4 to 5 hours of continuous backup light during power outages, allowing the Hifz students to study uninterrupted.

For the Eid-ul-Adha initiative, we spent 1,080 BDT to purchase new Panjabis, shoes, and festive food for two children—one orphan and one child of a local farmer facing financial hardship. The joy of studying under bright lights and wearing new clothes brought massive smiles to the Madrasa.
