- Sadaqah
- Voluntary charity given out of compassion, love, friendship (fraternity), religious duty or generosity. It can be money, food, clothing, or even a smile. Our foundation operates heavily on the principles of Sadaqah.
- Zakat
- Obligatory almsgiving in Islam, which is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is an annual payment made on qualifying wealth that is distributed to specific categories of people in need.
- Madrasa
- An educational institution, often associated with Islamic learning, where students study subjects ranging from theology and law to mathematics and literature. We frequently support Madrasas through our 'Sharing Knowledge' pillar.
- Alhamdulillah
- An Arabic phrase meaning 'Praise be to Allah'. We use this to express gratitude to God for the success of our projects and the generosity of our donors.
